Aircraft Vertical Stabilizer Leading Edge
Colley Aerospace consulted in the design and development of the Vertical Stabilizer (VSTAB) Leading Edge (LE) for a military transport aircraft.
We performed the dynamics, stress, and stability/buckling analysis on multiple components that comprise the assembly, including the leading edge skins, skin splice joints, internal ribs and stiffeners, secondary support structures, and all associated bolted joint interfaces.
Detailed reports documenting the analysis of the structure was generated to support the airworthiness certification of the aircraft.
