Colley Aerospace consulted in the design, development, and airworthiness certification of a regional jet Horizontal Stabilizer (HSTAB) Leading Edge (LE) structure.
Spacelab Module Stress Analysis
We served as a Structural Mission Lead, representing the structural analysis department for the Spacelab Program Office. We led the Second International Microgravity Laboratory (IML-2) Mission (STS-65) and the Second United States Migrogravity Laboratory (USML-2) Mission (STS-73).
NASA Space Station Alpha and Freedom Stress Analysis
We served as a Lead Structural Engineer for several tasks associated with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Space Station Alpha and Freedom Programs.
NASA FASTSAT Satellite Stress Analysis
We supported a very talented team of engineers to design, manufacture, and certify the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) FASTSAT Satellite flown on the Minotaur IV Launch Vehicle. Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and classical hand analysis techniques, we performed the stress and dynamics analysis on the entire FASTSAT Satellite, including all payload/experiment interfaces and mission-related equipment.
NASA NANOSAIL-D Solar-Sail Satellite Stress Analysis
We supported a very talented team of engineers to design, manufacture, and certify the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) NANOSAIL-D Solar-Sail Satellite flown on the Falcon I and Minotaur IV Launch Vehicles.
WB-57 HiRAD Payload and Radome Stress Analysis
We supported a very talented team of engineers to help develop the Hurricane Imaging Radar (HiRAD) and radome structure used on the NASA WB-57 Aircraft. HiRAD, managed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), is an airborne microwave sensor that is used to collect data on the wind fields within strong hurricanes.
Military Transport Vertical Stabilizer (VSTAB) Leading Edge (LE) Stress Analysis
Colley Aerospace consulted in the design and development of the Vertical Stabilizer (VSTAB) Leading Edge (LE) for a military transport aircraft.
Helicopter Human External Cargo (HEC) and Non-Human External Cargo (NHEC) Applications
We have supported several hardware development programs to certify products and systems for HEC and NHEC missions on a wide variety of helicopter platforms.
Helicopter Engine Inlet Stress Analysis
Colley Aerospace consulted in the design, development, and airworthiness certification of a helicopter engine inlet. We performed the stress analysis and the bird strike analysis on the fiber-reinforced composite and metallic structures that comprise the assembly.
Aircraft Elevator Horn Stress Analysis
Colley Aerospace consulted in the design and development of a business jet elevator horn structure. We performed the airworthiness stress and dynamic analysis on the fiber reinforced composite and metallic structures that comprised the elevator horn assembly and de-icing system.
Lightweight Sensor Pod Stress Analysis for SH-60 Seahawk
We supported a very talented group of engineers in the design and development of a Lightweight Sensor Pod for the SH-60 Seahawk Helicopter. We performed the airworthiness stress and dynamic analysis on the Pod Primary and Secondary Structure.
Delta III Launch Vehicle Stress Analysis
We served as a Senior Lead Structural Engineer for the Delta III Launch Vehicle Program. We supported a multi-disciplined team of engineers in the design, development, and manufacturing of an upgrade to the Delta family of expendable launch vehicles for the commercial satellite industry.
Delta IV Launch Vehicle Stress Analysis
